Blog: Digital taster sessions in Hastings

Take a peek at what happened at one of our Hastings sessions…

Our first couple of sessions for the Hastings Opportunity Area programme weren’t as well attended as we would have liked.

Still, we weren’t too downhearted and decided to take another approach.

On Saturday 12th January we held a half-day hack in the learning space on the second-floor of Hastings Library.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome 16 local youngsters to come and try their hand at Raspberry Pi, 3D printing, Unity programming and Lego robotics.

Their enthusiasm was infectious and, talking to attendees, we learned that they wanted to do more:  more Raspberry Pi, more Python, more programming in general.

We’re up for this and we hope more will be able to attend our after-school sessions when we start them again soon.

Meanwhile, here’s a tiny clip of our travelling 3D printer doing its thing…most popular bit of kit of the day.
